Sara Bejedi (PG 5’5”, 2000) from Finland

Sara is a pocket PG with an upper speediness and huge explosiveness. Despite of her short length, Sara has a filled frame and remarkable wingspan. Her athleticism is really developed at this stage, but she could improve some athletics elements as could be the resistance.

In the O end, the Finnish is really good playing up-tempo games, and takes advantage of her speediness to carry the ball from baseline to baseline really fast. She plays fearless driving to the rim, finishing with soft rolling-finger, even in traffic (most of them with the right hand). She is a good ball-handler, displaying a quite good crossover ability and remarkable change-of-pace dribbling, which usually allows her to pass the defender. Bejedi has an interesting shooting release, and her shot off the dribbling is really good, with quick release and interesting jumping ability. She should improve her left hand in all the O fundamentals, but she seems working in the correct way. Her vision court is more than good, and usually is able to find a teammate when she is driving to the rim and is unable to finish the play (on the corner, player inside the paint or behind the arc). She can play pick and roll situations, finishing both in pull-up jumper and finding the roll. Despite of that O strengths, she should improve making decisions and reduce the TOs.

In the D end, Sara is a really good defender on the ball-handler. Bejedi is able to guard the ball really hard during whole the court, and her wingspan allows her to deflect and steal from the dribbling. When she is defending a player without the ball, Sara has a great room to improve, because she seems distracted guarding cuts or switching in ball-screens. Basically Bejedi is a pit-bull guarding the ball with a quick hands, that makes the opponent feel really uncomfortable dribbling the ball.
