Ioanna Chatzileonti (PF 6’1″, 2002) from Greece

Ioanna is a prospect with a correct size for a PF, with promising mobility, who runs really well the court and possesses good fundamentals in the O end. Her athleticism and strength are still developing, and her wingspan is remarkable at this stage. She also has good hands either grab rebounds or catch the ball.

In the D end, the Greek shows an interesting lateral mobility and her knowledge is remarkable; so this D package allows her to deflect or steal coming from the weak side. Chatzileonti is a good rebounder due her wingspan, coordination and intuition, but she is also a hard-worker boxing out the paint. Ioanna is able to switch in the screen-ball situations, and her mobility allows her to chase the ball until the end (deflecting or blocking the layups).

In the O end, the Greek displays a great repertoire. Ioanna has a huge footwork inside the paint and she is able to finish with either of both hands. Chatzileonti possesses a soft touch (bank shot most of them) and is huge O threat from the low post. Ioanna has the ability either to duck-in or locate the defence in the correct way, and she displays a great huge post up repertoire (ball fakes, jab and go…). Ioanna also works the offensive rebound as a routine, and she usually gets something positive of that. Although she has good shooting mechanics, she should improve her shooting range and increase her average from the charity lane. The Greek has interesting passing skills and vision court for a player at this stage and position, and she is also able to put the ball on the floor in order to play face-to-face plays against inside match-ups.
