Ainhoa Lacorzana (PG 5-10, 2000) from Spain. After U16 FIBA Europe Udine 2016

Ainhoa is a PG with a great size and wide frame at this stage. Her mobility is remarkable for that size, and she also possesses a good wingspan and soft hands. Although she has not a great explosiveness, Lacorzana still has a great room to improve her athleticism.

In the O end, Ainhoa displays a remarkable knowledge (can play both up-tempo and low-tempo), and her dibbling skills are also good enough. She can play either pick-and-roll situations or running the court as well. Because she has not an outstanding explosiveness, she uses her big body (against other PG) to take advantage driving to the rim. Lacorzana shows promising shooting fundamentals, and she is able to hit behind the arc. In her O repertory, Ainhoa also have floaters (good mechanics but still low %). The Spaniard also displays a good vision court.

In the D end, Lacorzana has quite good D-slide mobility guarding the dribbling, but struggles a bit more defending the 1st crossover step in the face-off game. She also has to improve chasing the opponent through the screens. Wingspan, knowledge and desire makes Ainhoa into a good rebounder. The Spaniard also has a good instinct to deflect passes and steal from the dribbling.
