Kseniya Malashka (F 6-1, 2000) from Belarus. After U16 FIBA Europe Udine 2016
Probably the most ready prospect in the team. Kseniya has a good size for a PF, good hands, runs really well the court. She also possesses a nice wingspan and remarkable mobility, which allows her to play easily both back to the basket and face-off plays. She should add strength on her body in order to play inside the zone at the same leve of other inside players.
Her dribbling skills are quite good at this stage, displaying a promising 1st crossover step and she is able to finish with both hands (soft touch close to the rim). Malashka has a quick mind, good vision court and interesting passing skills, which makes her in a good passer from the top of the key. The Belarussian seems a great teammate who doesn’t refuse the responsibility of taking “hot-shots”. She also can play from the contact (with and without the ball), and is able to get a seal inside the paint. Malashka works the offensive rebound, keeping it high after the grab.

On the D end, Kseniya doesn’t seems the hardest defender in the world (she doesn’t have a great strength), but her mobility, knowledge and boxing out discipline, allow her to get a good number of rebounds and steals. Her good wingspan makes her to a interesting rim protector (blocks and disturbing shots) when she is focused.
