Sara Madera (PF 6-1, 2000) from Italy. After U16 FIBA Europe Udine 2016.
Sara is an undersize inside player,without an outstanding athleticism but with a wide and powerful frame. Despite of that, she runs really well the court and her mobility is remarkable.
Madera is a smart player with a nice touch close to the rim (even 3/4 meters range), who is able to put the ball on the floor and play face-to-face plays with efficiency. The Italian displays a good dribbling skills (whose don’t allow her to play as a PG, but closely…). Inside the paint, Sara shows an interesting footwork and mid-hook shot, that beside to a soft touch make to Sara a interesting scorer. In the O end package are also included a good passing ability (remarkable inside/outside), jab-and-go movement and a promising shooting range. She also works really hard the offensive rebound.
In the D end, Sara has still not a outstanding mobility, but the knowledge, desire and attitude, allow to the Italian being a quite good guarding other inside players. Interesting rebounder despite of her lack of leap (Boxing-out discipline).
