Yuliya Vasilevich (PG 5-5, 2001) from Belarus. After U16 FIBA Europe Udine 2016

The Belarussian PG is still a bit undersize for the next level, and she has a great athleticism neither. Despite of her physically limitations, Yuliya displays good dribbling skills with both hands, interesting quickness with the ball and the ability to finish from both sides (good rolling fingers and soft touch finishing in different ways). She also displays a promising shot off the dribbling shot (heterodox mechanic) even from the deep range. Yuliya shows a great confidence shooting at the buzzers. As a passer, she possesses a good vision half-court and promising one-hand passing skills, but she still struggles passing under pressure due to her lacks of outstanding strength. On the D end, her size is a handicap, but she takes advantage of her quickness (footwork and hands) to steal off the dribbling. Vasilevich is a smart player who doesn’t like to defend from the contact, but we cannot consider her a bad defender.
