Nadezda Nedeljkov (SG 5’8”, 2001) from Serbia after U16 FIBA Udine 2016
SG Nadezda has neither a great size nor good athleticism, but possesses a quite wide frame, nice knowledge and good mobility. Her offensive fundamentals are remarkable, with a nice dribbling skill set, promising layup ability and nearly good quickness without the ball in fast-break situations. Nedeljkov has heterodox shooting mechanics, but she has range and quick release. When she is driving to the rim, is able to read who is guarding her and take advantage in every situation, displaying a really good rolling-finger and soft touch (can score without displaying a great leaping ability). On the D end, Nadezda doesn’t show as a great defender due she has not neither great lateral 1st step nor quick slide guarding the ball. Nedeljkov is an intriguing prospect without a great physical basis, but who has a nice fundamentals package in the O end.
