Barbara Angyal (PG 5’8”, 2001) from Hungary. After FIBA U16 EC at Udine 2016

Barbara is a PG with an average size and wide frame, who displays a quite good athleticism at this stage. She possesses a good shooting mechanics (interesting off the dribbling release) and nice catch-and-shot fundamentals. Although her ball-handling is pretty good (remarkable change-of-pace dribbling and good quickness in crossovers), possesses enough soft touch (layups and floaters) and she has a promising 1st crossover step (right side most of them), Angyal struggles a bit finishing both in traffic and from the contact, because she has neither a great size nor remarkable leaping ability. Barbara shows often a not good play selection in the O end, and she usually runs slowly from the O to the D. Sometimes, she shows too much relaxing in the D end, and doesn’t possess a quick 1st D-slide guarding the ball. Despite of that, she shows some flashes of aggressiveness and has a big room to improve.
